What We Do

Our Works

Education Project

In 2023, Kwezi Child Foundation proudly opened the doors of its school, welcoming 347 children and marking the beginning of a transformative journey. What began as a bold step of hope has quickly evolved into a vital lifeline for vulnerable children seeking education, stability and a brighter future.

Today, the school operates with four permanent classrooms and six temporary structures. However, to meet the standards set by Uganda’s Ministry of Education at least ten permanent classrooms are required. Expanding our facilities is not just about building structures it is about fulfilling a promise to every child: the promise of learning in a safe, stable and dignified environment.

Through our Education Project, we provide access to formal education from nursery through to tertiary levels, ensuring that no child is left behind due to poverty or circumstance. We believe education is a fundamental right and we are committed to making it accessible to all.

Beyond traditional schooling, we recognize that some young people have experienced interruptions in their education. To support them, we offer vocational training programs that equip learners with practical, life-changing skills. These include mechanics, bricklaying, carpentry, hairdressing, and tailoring—pathways that lead to employment, independence, and self-reliance.

Guided by our slogan, “An inclusive environment for all children,” this project goes far beyond the classroom. It represents hope restored, potential unlocked, and futures rebuilt.

With your support, we can expand our classrooms, reach more children, and continue transforming lives through the power of education.

Our Works

Education for the Disadvantaged

Every child deserves the chance to learn, but for many disadvantaged children and orphans, poverty closes the school doors. This is why KCF was born to give vulnerable children the gift of education by covering school fees, meals, and essential learning materials.
When we support a child’s education, we do more than provide books and uniforms. We restore hope, dignity, and the chance for a brighter future. With your support, together we can keep more children in school and change their story forever.

Our Works

Medical Care Outreach

Medical Care Outreach

At Kwezi Child Foundation, we believe that access to quality healthcare is a basic human right for every child and adult. Yet in the communities we serve, many families face overwhelming barriers—including limited medical facilities, high healthcare costs, and low awareness of preventive care. As a result, children and adults remain vulnerable to preventable illnesses, malnutrition, and serious health complications.

Our Medical Care Outreach program addresses these challenges by bringing essential healthcare services directly to those who need them most. Through regular outreach initiatives, we provide medical check-ups, treatment for common illnesses, child immunisations, family planning services, and general clinical care.

Equally important is our focus on health education. We empower families with vital knowledge on nutrition, hygiene, maternal health, and disease prevention—helping them make informed decisions that improve their overall well-being.

For many children, access to healthcare means the difference between missing school and having the strength to learn and thrive. For parents, it brings peace of mind and the ability to care for and support their families.

Each outreach restores hope, promotes dignity and brings healing to communities that would otherwise go without care.

With your support, we can expand our outreach efforts, provide essential medicines and vaccines and build healthier, stronger futures for children and families in vulnerable communities.

Skills Empowerment

At Kwezi Child Foundation, we understand that breaking the cycle of poverty requires more than short-term support it requires equipping individuals with practical skills to build sustainable and independent livelihoods.

Many young people and families in the communities we serve face unemployment, limited opportunities and a lack of marketable skills. Without intervention, these challenges often lead to dependency, discouragement and cycles of generational poverty.

Through our Skills Empowerment Program, we provide hands-on training in carpentry, tailoring, hairdressing and mechanics practical trades that open doors to immediate income-generating opportunities. By engaging youth, women, and vulnerable families, we help individuals gain not only technical expertise but also the confidence and resilience needed to support themselves and their households.

Beyond vocational training, we promote entrepreneurship, financial literacy and community-based income initiatives. This ensures that participants are equipped not just to work, but to grow, innovate and succeed in an ever-changing world.

This program is more than skills training it is dignity restored, self-reliance regained and hope renewed.

With the continued support of our partners and donors, we can expand this initiative, provide modern training tools, and empower even more individuals to transform their lives through meaningful and sustainable work.

Clean Water

With the generous support of Luena Foundation and Sumar Lakhani Foundation, Kwezi Child Foundation (KCF) successfully constructed a borehole to provide safe and reliable access to clean water for the Kyamujumbi community.

This vital water source now serves not only Kyamujumbi but also three surrounding communities that depend on it for their daily needs. Access to clean water has significantly improved health, reduced the risk of waterborne diseases, and eased the burden on families especially women and children who previously had to travel long distances in search of water.

The borehole has become more than just a source of water; it is a source of life, dignity and opportunity. Children can now spend more time in school instead of fetching water and families can focus on building healthier and more productive lives.

At Kwezi Child Foundation, we believe that access to clean water is essential for community well-being and development. Through partnerships like these, we continue to bring lasting change and hope to the communities we serve.

Our Works

Agriculture

At Kwezi Child Foundation, we believe that food security is the foundation of a healthy and thriving community. In many of the areas we serve, families struggle with hunger and malnutrition due to poverty and limited access to sustainable sources of food. To address this challenge, we have engaged communities in agricultural projects that not only provide food for families but also create long-term solutions to hunger.
Through these initiatives, we cultivate a wide variety of crops such as bananas, pineapples, beans, maize, cassava, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, onions, and cabbages. These projects help to ensure that children and their families have access to nutritious meals while also equipping communities with skills in modern farming practices. By involving community members in every stage, from the distribution of seeds, planting, to harvesting, we promote ownership, self-reliance, and resilience against food shortages.
Our agriculture program goes beyond feeding families; it is about building sustainable livelihoods. By producing food locally, reducing dependency, and fostering income-generating opportunities, we are empowering communities to rise out of poverty. With donor support, we can expand our agricultural projects, introduce better farming technologies, and reach even more families with food and hope for a sustainable future.

Our Works

Feeding the children

At Kwezi Child Foundation, we know that a hungry child cannot learn, play, or dream. For many of the children under our care, the meals they receive at our center are often the only reliable source of nutrition they have each day. Poverty and food insecurity in the communities we serve mean that countless children go to bed hungry, making it difficult for them to concentrate in class or grow into healthy, strong adults.

To address this urgent need, we provide two nutritious meals each day, breakfast and lunch, to every child in our care. These meals not only sustain their bodies but also give them the energy and focus to succeed in school and participate actively in learning. Beyond food, mealtimes create a sense of stability, dignity, and belonging, reminding each child that they are valued and cared for.

Our Feeding Program is more than just providing meals; it is an investment in a child’s future. When children are well-nourished, they perform better academically, stay in school longer, and have the strength to break free from the cycle of poverty. With the support of partners and donors, we can continue to expand this program, improve the quality of meals, and reach even more vulnerable children who are in urgent need of daily nourishment.

Our Works

Comfort and Care

At Kwezi Child Foundation, we believe that every child deserves to live with dignity, warmth, and security. Yet many of the children and families we serve lack even the most necessities: clothing, shoes, blankets, mattresses, and school bags. Without these essentials, children face daily struggles that affect their health, confidence, and ability to focus on education.

Through our Comfort and Care initiative, we provide vulnerable children with clothing to protect them, mattresses and blankets for a good night’s rest, and school bags to carry their learning materials with pride. These simple items may seem small, but to a child in need, they represent comfort, belonging, and the hope of a brighter tomorrow.

With donor support, we can continue restoring dignity to more children, ensuring that they not only survive but thrive in an environment where they feel valued and cared for. Together, we can replace hardship with comfort and give every child the chance to face life with confidence.
